"Bill" Glimer was a cowboy and teamster on a ranch owned by Solon Volney Mace and William "Bill" Wren in Lampasas County. S.V. Mace married Mary Elizabeth Wren and I believe Mary E. was Bill Wren's sister. Bill Gilmer worked on the Mace and Wren Ranch from 1876 until he died in 1914. Bill Gilmer is buried in the School Cemetery where the S.V. and Mary E. (Wren) Mace are buried. Bill Wren married Sarah E. Higgins and they are buried in Scurry County Texas. Mary E (Higgins) Wren was the sister of John Calhoun Pinckney Higgins.
